He was brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Karan made his debut TV show appearance in Kasamh Se in 2006. From there, he went on to star in various other shows including Ghar ki Lakshmi Betiyann (2006) and Kahe Naa Kahe (2007).
He was cast in his first theatrical film appearance as Ranveer Oberoi in Kya Love Story Hai in April 2007.
Hukku was one of the founding partners of Aashirwaad Gems and Jewels from October 2013 to November 2016.
In August 2017, Karan assumed the role of Director Of Business Development at Sapphira Jewels.
A case was registered against Karan in mid-2023, under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code for having committed fraud against Mohammad Salim Farooqui. According to sources, Hukku had WhatsApped him a picture of a watch from Panerai asking in exchange for INR 7 lakhs. However, upon making the exchange, Mohammad discovered that the piece was fake and not even worth INR 10,000 and Karan had blocked his number.
